FAQs

We’ve taken the time to answer some of the more commonly asked bathroom and laundry renovations and upgrade questions. If you still have a query that isn’t listed in our FAQs, please contact us.

The main part of your bathroom takes approximate 3-4 weeks, however, if using a custom shower screen this can increase the completion date by a couple of weeks, as it needs to be measured and ordered once the tiles have been installed.

Yes. We will clean up the whole site and ensure everything is left neat and tidy.

You will be in good hands. As Registered Builders (Licence: CBD-U 67226) we have the necessary qualifications and experience (check the VBA website for current licences)

  • You are covered by our $20m Public Liability insurance policy
  • You are also covered by Homeowners Warranty Insurance, which we, as Registered Builders, take out on your behalf. According to the Victoria Building Authority (VBA) any building work over the amount of $16,000 requires Home Warranty Insurance.
  • All works will be completed by qualified trades.

Good news, you can stay home for the duration of the project! There will be a little mess and noise, but we can and do, work around our customers being home the whole time.

Good question. Simply put there are significant number of trades required to complete a bathroom or wet area. Builders, plumbers, electricians, tilers, plaster and painters. We use qualified and experienced staff to ensure your project is done to best standards.

Highly unlikely. Your contract will include a fixed price and our guarantee. Sometimes customers do have a change of mind after the project begins. If this is minor, no problem, no charge. But if it’s a significant variation, ‘extras’ would be charged but again, we provide a fixed price to make the change (and vary the contract). For example, changing to a more-expensive herringbone tile after contracts have been signed would require extra labour and be classed as an ‘extra’.

It’s all about your peace of mind. If everything is in writing, it’s clear what we have each agreed to do. Imagine having only a verbal agreement or a brief written outline if something goes wrong! Where would you stand? It’s also an integral part of a professional relationship. And finally, in order to obtain the correct insurance to cover your project, insurers insist on a legal contract.

Our customers often make small changes along the way. That’s ok, we understand and are happy to accommodate these…and we do our best to tackle these at no extra charge. However, sometimes with a larger variation, we may need to amend the contract; but again, you get a fixed price for the variation.

Definitely! And not only financially, it will also provide comfort & value to family life because a brand-new bathroom will just ‘feel right’ once all the current problems are gone!
